cused of robbing George Stack,
co-owner of the Yrcka Inn, on
October IS.
Court, a reildent of Green

Stack had been drinking in Ft.
Jone and had had trouble. The
two were riding from ft. Jonei
to Yreka when Court" li aup
poaccl to have beaten Stack and
taken his car.
Court admitted the beating
and driving off with Stack's
car on tha stand, but denied
robbing the man. He was not
charged with assault.
KPCA Declares 4
Per Cent Dividend
At a meeting of stockholders
of the Klamath Production Cred
it association Kriday a four per
cent dividend wai declared, ac
cording to announcement made
this morning by Lee S. McMul
len. secretary and treasurer of
KPCA.
The date of the annual meet
ing wai let for Saturday, Janu
ary 28, and in order to accom
modate the large crowd expected
at the 1847 session, directors an
nounced the meeting would be
held In the fairground exhibit
building.
Ice Crusts Snow
At Crater Lake
An icy crust covers the 88
inchei of mow at Crater Lake
national park, according to the
Saturday morning radio report,
and ikiing ii only fair, park
official! said. The view of the
lake Is perfect, however, and
holiday motorists are promised
a winter scene they won't for
get, according to Tom Parker,
assistant park superintendent.
There hai been no new snow
at the lake for three days and
the minimum temperature ii 23
degrees, the maximum, 28.

Festival Of
Christmas
To Be Given
Tho foatlvul of Christmas will
be celebrated at the First Pres
byterian church, 0th and Pine,
on Sunday, December 22. Two
services of worship will be
held, on at 11 a, m. and on
at 5 p, m.
The hour of morning worship
will bo enriched through the
ministry of the adult choir, un
der the louderihlp of Organist
Director Mrs. George W. Mc
Intyro. Solo work will be done
by Mrs. Marvin Nerseth, so
prano; Mri, Phillip Hitchcock,
contralto, and Carl Huge), ten
or. The choir will sing a selec
tion of anthems.
The congregation will Join in
the of fico of praise by singing
some of the well known Christ
mas carols. The pastor, th Rev.
David r. Harnett Jr., will
preach the final sermon in the
advent series on the theme,
"The Word Becomes Fleih."
This sermon is entitled, "Why
Did Jesus Christ Come?"
The entire service Is so ar
ranged as to enable the wor
shipers to follow the Immortal
Christmas story and Its mean
ing. This service will be broad
cast over station KFLW.
The Christmas vesper service
at 5 p. m. is planned to be one
oi simple beauty, telling the
story of Christmas through nar
ration, sang and homelike medi
tation. A youth choir has been
specially organized and trained
to taka part in this particular
service.
The narration will be read
by Phillip Hitchcock, the choir
dlrectod by Rev. David Barnett
and the organ played by Mrs.
George W, Mclntyre. Soloists
are Marian Mclntyre, June
Murphy and James Curtis.

Th largest crowd to ever
gather in Joseph Conger ichool,
according to thane in charge, en
joyed the aonul Christmas pro
gram presented by th students
Thursday evening In the auditor
ium. The program was divided
into two sections, th first de
voted to community singing of
old carols and the prestntatlon
of the verae choir which wn out
standing. Third, fourth and fifth
grades were included.
Th play pantomime, "Christ
mas Windows," wa splendidly
produced by the children and
much credit goes to young Billy
Hauser, who portrayed tho part
of the beggar child. Readers
wore Billy Bcchen and Theresa
Bergtn,
Rotary Hosts
School Show
The annual public schools
Christmas program was present
ed to the Rotary club Friday
noon at the Willard hotel under
the direction of Andrew Loney
Jr.. Rotary music chairman.
Athena Lompropulos, repre
senting the grade schools, gave
the first vocal number, Ave
Maria," accompanied by Patricia
Hunt of the school music staff.
The high school boys octet
sang three numbers, "Lo, How a
Rose E'er Blooming," "God Rrat
Ye Merry Gentlemen," and
"White Christmas."
The a cappella choir from the
high school sang three numbers.
The first, a song which originat
ed in the 15th oentury, was "Of
The Father's Love Begotten" A
double chorus, "Let All Rejoice
Thiii Blessed Morn," was fol
lowed by "Love Everlasting"
and "Light Everlasting."
Harold Ashley was chairman
of the day.

Sale of poultry products has
dropped considerably In Klam
ath county during the war years,
It was revealed at the organiza
tion meeting of the poultry
committee for the county farm
program nlapnlng conference
yesterday.
Th poultry industry is 25
per cent below economic pro
duction for th county, com
mented Stan Soron, committee
chairman. Noel Bennlon, poultry
specialist of the Oregon State
college extension service, Cor
vaill, attended the session and
presented a trend of the national
nd state poultry situation. Ben
nlon pointed out that the pro
duction of poultry products in
the United States has increased
approximately SO per cent dur
ing the war. However, per cap
ita of production on the Pacific
coast is below pre-war level.
During the past 15 years, the
Pacific coast has changed from
a large exporting to an import
in area.
It WW pointed out during the
meeting that Oregon eggs bring
approximately 13 cents mor
per doxen In areai shipped to
than eastern or mid-western
e-gs. This is due to the better
quality of Oregon eggs.
