KUHS Obstacle Course Is
Converted For Peacetime
The high school obstacle
course, used for the last three
years In conjunction with the
army-navy adapted high sch.jol
training program, has been torn
out this week, according to Joe
feaK, director of physical ed at
KUHS. The work started Mon
day on the removal of the course.
Built in 1942 after courses
used by the navy nf the same
type, the obstacle setup now has
no place In the program outlined
for Oregon high school, taking
effect next year, said Paek. Al
though the physical training pro
gram will not be changed, the
obstacle course will not be used.
