Awarded 'A' Rating
PORTLAND, July 24 (IPy In
spection and classification of
restaurant here under the state
sanitary code has resulted in
"A" classifications for only 13
of 73 eating establishments in
spected. Grade "B" placards were
given 24 and "C" ratings to 36,

plained that "C" rated cafes
must qualify for "B" rating
within 30 days or close their
doors.
There are 1800 establishments
to be inspected in the city.
Adventist Conference
At Walla Walla

The 10-day camp meeting of the
upper Columbia conference of
Seventh-Day Adventist opens
on the Walla Walla college cam
pus tonight.
The gathering Is expected to
attract more than 3000 visitors
from eastern Washington, the
Idaho panhandle and northeast
ern Oregon.

The latest of the service wives
to arrive in Klamam Falls is
Mrs. Howard McCamman of
Dublin. Ireland. In addition to
being a newcomer, she is also a
new bride. She married Howard
McCamman of Portland, a for
mer army man. in Vancouver,
Wash. July 5 soon after her ar
rival on the west coast.
It was during the time that
she was in service as a petty of
ficer in the Wrens that she met
McCamman. then stationed in
the British Isles with the army

from her native country, she had
to leave by way of Sweden. After

: didn't get seasick. "I couldn't
I let the navy down," she says.

According to Mrs. McCamman,
food is quite plentiful in Ireland,
though not so abundant as in
i this country, but in England,
i people still line up for it.
The big problem just now for
the McCammane is finding a
place to live, but Mrs. McCam
man takes it in her stride. Despite
being in a strange country she
says she likes Klamath Falls,
although she isn't used to the
: weather, and doesn't feel a bit
ilike a stranger.

Mrs. French was once a Camp i
Fire girl and has in her long ;
association with the organiialion
served as executive secretary, t
ramp director, and has special-
iied in camp craft and outdoor
activity.
Mrs. French has been leader
for Blue Bird groups, the seven
to ten-year-olds. Camp Fire Girls,
the intermediates, and for Hori
zon clubs, girls of high school
age. She is at present registered
as a Blue Bird leader with the
Pansy group of Fremont school
and is directing the outdoor craft
activities at the summer session
of Camp Fire camp at Lake o'
the Woods.
