Four Dead In Fire

swept through the Miner club,
a two-story frame building with
hotel rooms on the second floor.
Several other roomers were
able to escape from their rooms.

Farris Rape
Case Dropped
The case against Bob Farris,
indicted for rape involving a
13 year old Indian girl, was dis
missed yesterday at the request
of the district attorney's office.
Farris was to have been
placed on trial Thursday morn
ing In circuit court. The cas
was substantially the same ai
the one In which Harold Rich
ard Cartln was found not guilty
by a Jury last week, The same
girl was involved.
Dismissal of that case finishes
the court's criminal docket for
this session. Of the four open
true bills returned by the last
grand jury, three not guilty
verdicts have been returned up
on trial in circuit court.
