cuss the matter and reason that there is noth- .

will induce parents to act politically against ;
members of the school board. Children say: j
"Grownups strike against Truman and author-1
ity, why should we not?"' The educators think 1
the parents are responsible for such a condi- j
tioo. the parents think the schools are. and the j
schools know the children are but nothing is 1
ever done.
The whole thir.g could be handled adequate
ly in two moments of clear thought. The con
fusion is only a sign of our age. None of those
accused are really responsible for a condition
which can be traced only to the failure of au
