A regular meeting of Pros

In the IOOF hall Thursday eve
ning. June 20. with Ada Wii

feature of the entertainment
which followed the business
meeting: was a pageant, "Friend
ship's Trail," presented by the
officers and members of the de
gree staff, Harriet Estcs, degree
captain, as 'The Stranger" was
escorted thru the trail by Ber
enice McCracken and at the
conclusion of the floral cere.
mony Mrs. Estcs was presented
with a gift from the group. Ora
Sweet presented a gift from the
group to Ada Willitts, noble
grand.
After the meeting Elizabeth
Ramsby, chairman of the re
freshment committee, invited
the members into the banquet
room where refreshments were
served. The table was lighted
by white candles surrounding
mirror pools, ana red roses
formed the three links, symbol
of the IOOF and the Rebekahs.
There will be no meeting on
July 4.
Buslnass Meeting
Held Monday '
A regular business meeting
of the Neighbors of Woodcrait
was held in the KC hall Mon
day, June 17, at 8 p. in. The
application of Betty Patterson
for transfer ' from Dunsmuir to
Ewauna 647 was approved, and
Aurelia and Paul Patterson
were transferred to the Juven
iles. After the business meeting
bingo was played, with awards
going to Rosalie Kuykendall
and Effic Redkey. The next
business meeting will be fol
lowed by a hard-iimes party.
Lt. and Mrs. James Barlow
are spending a two-week vaca
tion visiting Mrs. Barlow's par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Percy Pierce.
They came here from Langlcy
field, Va., where Lt. Barlow
was stationed. He will report
for duty with the army air
corps at Sacramento when they
leave Klamath Falls.
Sherry and Larry Howard
visited for several days at the
home of their grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. M. Spencer at Beswlck,
Calif., earlier this month. When
they returned horn their cousin,
Billv Suencer. came with them
for a vialt here. She returned
to Beswick last Sunday.
The H. E. Ringler family is
moving to Chlco, Calif., this
week. Mr. and Mrs. Ringler
and two sons left here Monday,
taking a load of household
goods with them. Mr. and Mrs.
Ringler remained in the south
but George and Don returned
here for the remainder of their
belongings. They will return to
Chlco the last of this week.
Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Lumrnus
and children arrived in Keno
Tuesday from Texas where they
have lived about a year ana a
half. The Lumrnus family lived
In Keno several years before
they left for Texas in the fall
of 1944. Lumrnus served in the
army for six months after leav

and Mrs. Margaret Vermillion
returned on Friday last week
from the northern part of the
state, where they were caned
