The executive committee of
the republican central commit
tee held its regular monthly
meeting In Malin Thursday eve
ning, June 19. Dinner was
served the visitors and their
hosts at the Malin hotel.
- After dinner, the group moved
to the Malin . city hall -where
matters of interest were discuss
ed. Among the topics discussed
was the need for active precinct
chairmen and chairwomen,
need for a survey of the regis
tered voters and the need for
registering the people in each
precinct. It is planned to organ
ize a Young Republican forum
group in Malin soon.

Mrs. A. Kalina, C. Pickett, Mr.
and Mrs. Ted DeMcrritt, C.
Thompson, L. Thompson and J.
E. Craven of Malin and Frank
Howard, Alva Lewis, Grace
Wells, Mrs. Claude Smith and
Mr. and Mrs. Wyatt Padgett

The trial is scheduled to start
Tuesday.. Redin has denied his
guilt.
The woman Is Mrs. Rowena
Kennedy, wife of Engineer Her
bert Kennedy, who previously
was identified as the key wit
ness through whom -the govern
ment alleges Redin arranged to
obtain detailed plans for a navy
destroyer tender.
The Kennedys were social ac
quaintances of the accused offi
cer and his attractive young Rus
sian wife, and the Redins were
reported to have been often in
the Kennedy home.
In this connection, the Post
Intelligencer said tonight that
"it is reported that the federal
bureau of investigation had the
Kennedy home wired for sound
from cellar to garret."
The Kennedys have been re
ported as on a trip to Canada
since Kennedy's name entered
the case. Kennedy, SO, was born
in Scotland and is a British sub
ject although he has resided in
the United States for SO years.
U. S. Attorney J. Charles Den
nis has said that Kennedy "as
sisted us" in the case against the
Russian.

National Guard Air
Units Being Formed

ization of the Oregon national
guard's air units is under way,
Brig. Gen. Raymond F. Olson,
Acting adjutant general, an
nounced today in disclosing the
list of units assigned to Oregon.
Oregon has been allocated the
following units:

group, 142d aircraft control and
warning squadron, 123d utility
(light, headquarters detachment
242d air service group, detach
ment "A" 242d air service
group, 123d weather station and
2110th engineer aviation company.
