relative to the juvenile court
budget for the next fiscal year.
He added that the staff now has
full-time car at its disposal.
Arrangements have been
made with the matron of the
juvenile detention cottage for
night supervision of the cottage.

at all times, has been developed.

Class Has 50
Fifty students make up the
enrollment of summer school at
Klamath Union high school this
year, with over twice as many
girls as boys attending the sum
mer classes. With the excep
tion of freshmen, students from
every class in high school are
enrolled.
A few seniors who partici
pated in the commencement
exercises are attending the
school to finish up their credits,
and many graduating juniors
are taking social economics, a
required subject before grad
uation. Two veterans are tak
ing a refresher course, minus
credit, before entering college.
Three teachers handle the
summer school students, teach
ing hour-and-a-half periods for
each subject. These teachers
are Dorothy Bailey, Mrs. Helen
Hoffman, and Don Ross. One
credit is given for each subject
if passed.
Students will finish summer
school on July 3 rather than the
regular date of July 5. School
was held on Memorial Day, a
holiday, by vote of the students.
