futures closed at their ceilings today as
gains of 5 cents were scored by old
style contract, bringing them to their
new maximums for the first time. Ceil
ing prices brought out a little selling
but it was not sufficient to force quota
tions below the maximums.
Old corn contracts also advanced 3
cents, closing 10 cents under their
maximum. Traders expect these deliver,
ies to be at ceilings on Friday, advancing
the 5 cent dally limit In each session.
Oat provided most of the trading
activity and advanced.
At the close wheat was unchanged to
5 cent higher. July $1 981. corn un
