MILLER'S EXPANSION NEWS
By WALT KENNETT, MGR.
Many people are asking me daily why Moe's have changed
their name to Miller's.
For nine years, this store has been owned by the Miller Corp.
with headquarters in Portland. The Miller Merchantile Corp.
Ii strictly an Oregon institution, originating in Oregon and owned
by Oregon stockholders.
Each store is operated independently by local people, so that
the community benefits from its operation, the same as any local
institution. ...
We therefore, considered it not only proper and fitting in lieu
of the great expansion and remodeling program, to change the
name to MILLER'S.
We apologize to our patrons for the noise, dust, and confusion
in our present cramped quarters. We hope soon to present to the
people of the Klamath Basin ... a new and greater MILLER'S
DEPARTMENT STORE. . . . More news next week.
