The fire sturted In the hay In
the shed, possibly from spon
taneous combustion, It spread
quickly through that building,
and burned a pumphouse. It set
lire to the end of u nearby potato
cellar superstructure, but wus
stopped before it destroyed that
facility.
There wus a strong wind, but
It wus blowing in a favorable di
rection. Tlio Merrill rural fire truck
and the Klurnuth county fire
truck answered calls for help,
und neighbors also pitched In to
stop the blaze,
Mrs. George Hill, who lives
In a neurby house on the Dehlln
iier place, discovered the fire.
Loss was about $2500, covered
by insurance.
