turbance and discontent seem to
be present in unlimited supply.

For Mother's Day
The annual observance and
Brogram dedicated to Mother's
lay by the Fraternal Order of
Eagles and the auxiliary, wl"
be held Sundav, Mother's Day,
at 2 p. m. in the FOE hall, 9lh
and Walnut. A cordial invita
tion to the public Is issued by
the lodge.
The program Is in keeping
with hundreds of others ar
ranged bv Eagles throughout the
United States and Canada to
pay tribute to mothers and to
commemorate the movement
started bv the Fugles for a na
tional Mother's Day more than
four decades ago.
More Loose Dogs
Bring $5 Fines
Four more local residents
have paid the $5 fine to city
police for allowing dogs to run
at large. Dogs picked up yester
day were owned by Fred H.
Stelzenmeller, 2132 Orchard: P.
Carninl, 2239 S. 6th; John War
ren, 2413 Union, and John D.
Stanley, 2221 S. 6th.
There were no traffic arrests
made by police yesterday. Four
drunks and one drunk and dis
orderly appeared in court this
morning.

luncheon for wives and mothers
of Rotarians was observed by
the club Friday noon at the Wil
lard hotel with Mrs. Frank Eb
erlein, wile of the president, in
charge of the program.

vocal numbers, accompanied by
Mane Ubencnain, and tne Koose
velt school circus and band per
formed to an enthusiastic au
