The mayor decided today that
the city shouldn't have anything
to do with dating.
He and a city commissioner
recommended denying a permit
to establish a date registry. The
applicant, Mra. Loren Lemnion,
said her registry would arrange
date for Portlander for a $1
fee. Purpose: "Enjoying a mu
tually entertaining and compan
ionable evening."
