For we're on our way to providing a broader and faster long
distance service than you have ever had before.
Everything possible Is being done to expand long distance
facilities now and to prepare the way for many new improve

More Consideration
For Vets Urged
WASHINGTON, March 13 (JP)
Rep. Angell (R-Ore.) today urged
the war assets corporation to
give more consideration to vet
erans desiring to purchase sur
plus government property for
their own use.
Angell said he had received
many complaints from veterans
who say they are unable to get
surplus government property
when placed on sale. He said
lack of a disposal station in Port
land kept many veterans from
making purchases and he urged
the corporation to establish such
a depot in that city and to elim
inate red tape.
