mand spun the usually Jumpy May rye
futures prices up to new highs for Uie
season In fairly active trading today.
The bullish sentiment overcame fairly
general profit taking at times, and alio
carried new crop deliveries of wheat for
fractional gains most of the day. At on
time. May rye was quoted at 8I.R7S
a bushel, a gain of 4S cents In addition
to the 3 cent advance of &ilurduv. The
previous season's high was 8I.U7.
Other rye deliveries were at relllng
prices most of the thus and unable lo
share the advance.
The demand was attributed generally
to the strong securities market and the
advances of rye at Winnipeg where It
also sold at new high for the season.
