Members of St. Paul's Episcopal church, corner of 8th and Jefferson, are anticipating proposed
alterations and additions to tho church building as shown in the architect's drawing above. Work
on the building, at an estimated cost of 812.000, will start soon after the first of the year, according
to the pastor, the Rer. F. C. Wissenbach. The entrance will be changed and will be included in
the enlarged parish house. Folding doors will enable the church proper to seat many more per
sons especially needed during Christmas and Easter seasons. Kitchen facilities will be enlarged,
there will be a new sacristy and study and two offices are included in the basement' plans.

famed surgeon, scientist, lectur
er, author and gospel preacher,
will give a series of lectures on
the miracles of science at the Im
manuel Baptist church, N, 11th
and High, from December 4 to
10, every evening except Satur
day at 7:30 o'clock.
Dr. Brown's training under
some of the world's great evolu
tionary teachers, notably Sir Ar
thur Keith of London, Eng., has
made him familiar with the sub
ject to which he devotes special
attention. Ha has earned the
highest surgical degree in the
world, Fellow of the Royal Col
lege of Surgeons, Edinburgh, and
has a background which makes
his addresses most convincing.
