"pioneers" and a covered wagon
this winter.
Jack Ratllff and Orville Ew

Portland yesterday with two
covered wagons that are their
answer to poor health and high
living costs.
One wagon was pulled by a
trio of burros; the other by two

"I flgger on winter In Gresh

who has been traveling in his
covered wagon since 1941.
"This life ain't bad, but I've
en things I like better."
Ratliff started off when, be
jaid, doctors told him he had
tuberculosis. Since then he's
covered 12,000 miles.
Life is very cheap that way,
he explained. "My four hena
