morrow In Cleveland's huge sta
dium. That's tho prediction of this
corner, which has forecast the
season's football games at an .809
pace despite last Saturday's
stumbling on eight of 38 deci
sions. The Midshipmen, who haven't
been exactly Impresslvo In any
of their five triumphs, are the
selection to end a similar win
ning streak owned by Notre
Dame. The Irish have looked bet
ter in their triumphs but the op
position hasn't been on a par
with the clubs vanquished - by
Navy, except for Georgia Tech,
Tech lost to the Middies, 20
to 6, after dropping 40 to 7
contest to the Ramblers. Still,
Navy is preferred.

St. Mary's -Southern Califor
nia: West coast odds-makers have
tho Gaels the six-point favorite
but from here it appears the Tro
jans will triumph although Her

trict footbull teams will givo out with their best on Modoc field
for the benefit of tho Victory Loan drive now going on, Admis
sion to see the grid loams of Henley, Malin,
Merrill, Bonanza, Tulelukc, Dorrls, Sucrcd
Heart und the KU113 Wildcats In uctlon will
be one $25 bond per scut a $50 bond, two
scuts, $100 bond, four seals, and so on.
Admission for school kids is Just the reverse
a $25 bond sold gives them one scat, and on
up the ladder.
It's a real gridiron Jamboree. The teams are
to bo mulched on the spot, numes pulled out of
a hat, and each puir will play one quarter. You
football fans will be able to sec every high
school football team In the Klamath basin, ex
cept the Pelicans, who will be away at Bend,
without a bit of traveling, und if vou don't hap
pen to like the pluy of one certain team, Just
wult u few minutes and another one will take
the stugc.
Tho Quarterback club is backing this show to help the Victory
Loun committee and also to finish off the 1945 football season
in and around Klamath Falls in a blaze of glory.

Classic battle of the week will be the Navy-Notro Dame annual
get-together at Cleveland, and the guys from South Bend get
this corner's nod for a win by one touchdown only 14 to 7

driver en route to a hospital

Dr. Dwight W. Gregg, whose
patient, Mrs. Robert Gammon,
was in the ambulance, said any
delay would have been danger
ous because of a heart ailment
complicating asthma.
