merce directors heard a sug
gestion Wednesday that steps
should be taken to improve
facilities In the county fair-
f:round, in view of the commun
ty value received from use of
the grounds for such events as
tho Caloregon Hereford associa
tion sale and show and the Jun
ior livestock show.
Dr. Hcrrlck Wheeler and
Mayor1 Ed Ostendorf both said
they had heard criticism of con
ditions at the fairgrounds, and
expressed the opinion that the
publicity, economic value, and
other beneficial features of the
livestock show justify definite
Improvements.
They pointed out that the Cal
oregon sale had been trans
ferred to Klamath Falls from
Medford and asserted that every
possible step should be taken to
cooperate In making this event
an outstanding western event.
President L. Orth Sisemore of
the chamber referred the mat
ter to the agricultural com
mittee. Phil Hitchcock, who with Sen
ator Marshall Cornett went to

chamber in the western air lines
cases, made a formal report at
the directors' meeting. He said
he was hopeful Klamath will get
