WHY A COMBINED DRIVE?
Prior to lost year there were appeals by worthy organ
izations on an average of once every three weeks.
This resulted in inconvenience to persons solicited,
loss of time by persons asked to work on several
different drives each year, and wasteful duplication
in campaign expenses. In 1944 a combined drive was
successfully held, including 34. agencies. One dona
tion covered them all.' This year the local fund in
cludes 33 agencies, most of whom would hold in
dividual drives if they were not included in a
combined campaign. For your own convenience, give
"One Day's Pay." Give once for all!
NATIONAL AGENCIES CLOSING
'.:..'.'. ......
National agencies such as USO, United Seamen's
Service, United China Relief and similar agncies
have raised their funds since 1942 in a combined
drive known as the National War Fund. This cam
paign is the LAST DRIVE for the National War Fund,
which is included in the Klamath Community Fund.
There is still a great need for USO Camp Shows for
the boys waiting for return from overseas stations.
Similar service is rendered to men at various military
installations in this country. Let's wind up the Na
tional War Fund in good style by putting the KLAM
ATH COMMUNITY FUND over the top!
