At Supper Parties
With the first snappy days pf fall weather and the football
Season, thoughts turn to thoso cheerful get-togethers before and
after the football game when there is a chance to talk over the
happenings of the past summer and make plans for the winter
days ahead.

chapter when they met for their
regular session on Tuesday at
the Masonic hall.

chapter and they presented a
clever skit, "The Bashful Lover."
Tulelake chapter was represent
ed by Beulah Weise, deputy
grand matron of California, who
read an original poem, "The Vi
cissitudes of a Worthy Matron,"
which was dedicated to Worthy
Matron Gladys Laird.
Alma Cofer, grand represen
tative of the Grand Chapter of
Tennessee, gave an interesting
talk on "Friendship," and later
supper was served to about 12S
guests and members in the ban
quet room by a committee, Kate
Peyton, Jessie Lyle, Mayme
Thomas, Frances Bennet and
Ruth Palmer.
The next meeting will be held
October 9 when the men of the
order will take charge of pro
gram and refreshments. The Ma
sonic order will be entertained
at this time. Sallie Wood, wor
thy matron, and Arthur Dick
son, worthy patron, invite all
members and visiting members.

mony in Corvollis recently to Jomes Kuehnle of Polo Alto,
Calif. The young couple will reside in Corvallis.

formerly of Malin. became the bride on September 9 of James
P. Kuehnle, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Kuehnle of Palto Alto,
Calif., in a ceremony read at the Mayflower chapel in Corvallis.
The bride wore a beautiful gown of white Spanish lace and
marquisette with a long train. Her fingertip veil was caught
with a coronet of orange blossoms and seed pearls and she car
ried a white orchid surrounded with white carnations and rose-

was her maid of honor and wore

Madamo Noel fund in honor of
the famous plastic surgeon of
World War I, who won France's
highest decorations as well as
honors from other nations. The
money raised by 200 Soroptlmlst
clubs of the United States and
Canada will be used to revital
ize the Soroptlmlst clubs In war
torn countries, and through
them begin again the work of
service to their communities.

the party was headed by Sylvia
