The admiral landed at the
naval air station from Seattle

Woman Suffers Third
Fracture Tn Year
It's getting to be an old story
to Mrs. Nell McCollum, 70-year-
old Klamath resident, now re
covering from her third fracture
since last spring.
Mrs. McCollum suffered a
broken left shoulder as the re
suit of a fall last March. She
recovered from that injury and
several weeks ago fell again and
fractured her left arm above the
wrist. With the arm still in a
splint, Mrs. McCollum again suf
fered Injury 10 days ago when
she fell and broke her right
shoulder. Mrs. McCollum was
to leave Klamath Valley hospital
today for the Home 01 her son
J. D. Beckley, 3 Prescott. She
formerly operated the Odell lake
resort.

Six categories of men should be
discharged from the army with
out further delay. Rep. Angell
(R-Ore.) told tho house during
debate on the bill designed to at
tract enlistments.
He said also that boys In their
'teens should be relieved from
the draft to complete their
schooling.
The groups whose discharge
Angell called for:
(1) Those already listed for
discharge, now "doing menial
jobs around the camps and
posts;" (2) Men with families; (3)
Men who have been in prison
camps; (4) Men injured in com
bat or who have been hospital
ized for long periods while In
service; (S) Men who have been
In service at least two years, and
(8) Men who have served on the
European front.
He said that while he favored
the enlistment bill, there were
:ome modifications he would
like.
"It will at least give legisla
tion," he said, "to make the mili
tary service more attractive so
that we will have an opportunity
to build up our peacetime forces
by volunteer enlistments."
