Fire Destroys
Rogue Valley
Lumber Company
GRANTS PASS, Sept. 12 (P)
The Rogue "Valley Lumber com
pany mill on the old Redwood
highway at the south edge of
Grants Pass was completely de-
stoyed by fire Tuesday night
with a loss estimated at between
$30,000 and $40,000. The mill,
property of T. J. Dostnlik, was
partially covered by insurance.
Cause of the blaze, which was
first discovered by neighbors
shortly before 10 o'clock, was
undetermined today. Dostalik
had himself been at the mill at
9:30 p. m., and reported that
there was no sign of fire at that
hour.
Several crews from the state
forest patrol answered the call
and with the help of the mill's
own fire pump were able to keep
the flames from spreading to the
storage sheds and lumber near
by. . The fire was restricted to
the mill and equipment.
