Corps league for $790 was pre

T. Brooks, commanding officer
of the Marine Barracks, for the
furtherance of recreational ac
tivity. The colonel stutcd that the
money would bo used for plan
ned outings to mnny of Oregon's
natural wonderlands. Similar
trips have been sponsored in the
past by tho recreation depart
ment and havo been extremely
popular with marines and their
