1 B8 2 tbsps. sugar
cup milk 2i taps, baking
1 cup bran or bran powder
flakes Yj tap. salt
1 cup all-purpos 2 tbspt. shorten-
flour ing, malted
!4 cup marmalada
Beat egg in bowl; add milk; stir in
bran and let soak while preparing
other ingredients. Sift and measure
flour; sift again with sugar, baking
powder and salt. Add melted short
ening to soaked bran. Add flour
mixture and stir only until just com
bined. Grease muffin tins well and
Clace 1 teaspoonful marmalade in
ottom of each pan. Drop batter in
pans, filling H full and bake in
moderately hot oven (425 F.) 20
minutes or until done. Makes 12
muffins.
