Spokane Wedding
The parsonage of the First
Baptist church in Spokane,
Wash., was the scene of the wed
ding of Charlene Lutz, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. C. u. rraicy oi

and PFC Bill Harrison, son of
Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Harrison of
Clarksdalc. Miss.
The ceremony took place on
July 3 and was read by the Rev.
Eugene Knause. The couple
was attended by PFC and Mrs.
Keith McDougal of Cashmere,
Wash.
The groom is now stationed at

for some time. Mrs. Harrison is
now in Klamath Falls making
her home.

meetings of the year for mem
bers of the Rebakah Social, club
was. the picmc on Wednesday,
August 8, at the home of Vera
Clemmens on the Ashland high
way. Mrs. W. L. Frain, Mrs.
Clemmens mother, was co
hostess, and there were four
guests, Mrs. Laurel Garber. a
member of Berkeley Calif,
lodge, Dr. Sawyer of Ashland,
Mrs. Lula Wilson of Salem and
Charmion Biehn. Thirty-two
were present, and Martha Gil
prist, the new president, was in
charge of the short business
meeting.
The meeting on August 22
will also be a potluck picnic at
the home of Mrs. W. E. Curtis

Juveniles of the Neighbors
of Woodcraft held a picnic in
Moore park Tuesday, August 7,
at 1 p. m. with Stella Dryden
and Aita UlarK in charge of ar
rangements. Following the
picnic, which was well attend
ed, there was a short business
meeting, and games filled the
rest of the afternoon.
Included among the list of
guests at the eighth birthday
party of Susan Ann Ravizza,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Ravizza of Algoma farms were
Bobbie and Kenneth Bowns and
their mother, Mrs. Paul Bowns,
and Mrs. Fred Pope. Assisting
her sister during the afternoon
was Mrs. Scott Warren of Al.
goma r arms.

Neighbors of Woodcraft held
regular meeting in the KC
hall Monday, August 6, at 8
p. m., with Alta Clark, guard
ian neighbor, presiding. It was
decided to hold a public card
party on the next meeting night,
August 20, with a "Country
Store" as the outstanding fea
ture of entertainment. Games
were then played, and delicious
refreshments were served by
Amelia Jacobson and Vera
Reeves.
VFW Auxiliary
Thursday, August 2, the aux
iliary to the Veterans of For
eign Wars met at 8 p. m. in
the large clubroom at the li
brary with Mrs. Walter Thomp
son, president, conducting the
business meeting. Twenty-five
members attended, and two new
members were initiated, Gladys
Long and Roena Fugill. It was
decided to use the smaller -club
room in future, and the next
meeting will be held there, the
room wnich was formerly used
for the lodge meetings.
Plans were completed for the
annual auxiliary and post picnic
in Moore park Sunday, August
12, and those who have no
means of transportation were
asked to be at Danceland at 11
a. m. Coffee, rolls, ice cream
and pop will be furnished and
those attending should bring a
mam dish, table service, and
sugar if desired.
Pelican post 1383 will be
hosts to the auxiliary for lunch
following the next meeting,
August 16.
