Mrs. Violet Koch conducted a
free hand painting class at the
weekly meeting of the Service
Men's Wives club which wns held
in the USO clubrooms Thursday
night. Mrs. Koch, who has been
doing art work for the past IS
years, studied nt nrt schools in
Arizona and South Dakota.
Twelve members attended the
meeting which was held in the
women's lounge. The group
planned a potluck supper for
the next meeting date, Thursday,
August 16, at 7 p. m. in the

Reames Groups To
Have Tournament
Reames Golf and Country club will-start a mixed handicap
two-ball foursome tournament on the last Sunday In-August, and
the tourney will continue for the' next two Sundays thereafter,
according to local golfers. , . ...
It will be a ladies' choice affair with women choosing their
partners from among the men. However, -women are not allowed
to choose their husbands as tournament partners.
Eighteen holes over the three Sundays will comprise the con
test and two trophies are to be
awarded, one to the lady and one
to the man with the lowest
score. ;

Plan Annual Affair
The executive committee and officers of the .Wednesday club
of St. Paul's Episcopal church met at the home of Mrs. Ed
Goeckner on Thursday evening to discuss plans for the annual
Wednesday club tea which will be given this year on August 29.
Mrs. Robert O. Sproat has been named chairman of the tea
committee and will be assisted by Mrs. George Rogers.
