Paul Foster and children left
Friday for Chicago where they
will spend some time. Mrs.
Woodman will visit her mother,
sister and brother. Capt. Foster
is stationed at camp Tuielake.

Mrs. Theresa Jennings and
daughter, Mardell, of Los An
geles, visited lust week with her
mother, Mrs. Sadie Keller. Mar
dell Is remaining for an extend
ed visit with her grandmother,
probably for the summer, while
Mrs. Jennings returned home.
Frankle Alexander, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. Alexan
der, has returned to the States,
according to word received by
his mother. After 44 months in
the South Pacific, he is now at
Camp Amba, Calif., waiting for
an extended furlough or possi
bly a discharge.
Mrs. Buclah Mawhinney of
Klamath Falis, and her hus
band, Sgt. Mawhinney, are home
for a visit. Sgt. Mawhinney has
a 13-day furlough from the Ma
rine Barracks at the Falls,
Mrs. Erma Sanders has been
taking a special two-week teach
er's training course' at the
Southern Oregon Normal at
Ashland for the past two weeks,
but plans to be back to attend
grange this Saturday evening.
Both Mrs. Sanders and Mrs.
Katie Dick have accepted their
contracts and will teach again
Ihls coming year at' the Kelly
Creek grade school.
Mrs. Dollio Freeman left last
weekend for San Diego where

Loye Smith of Klamath Falls
spent the weekend at the C. A.
Smith home.
Mr. and Mrs. C. V. Ly brand

son, Freddy, and Rebn Lybrand
returned home Tuesday from
Brlgham, Utah, when they visit
ed their son, PFC John Lybrand,
who is at a hospital there. PFC
Lybrand was a German prisoner
of war for several months and
was returned to Walla Wnllii,
Wash. He was recently sent to
Utah, where he will have an
operation on his leg which was
lost at the time of his capture.
His wife, Mrs. Barbara Lybrand,
will remain In Utuh indefinitely.
Rose Marin Doty, who has
spent the past month .with rela
tives In California,' returned
home this week to spend the re.
malnder of her vacation with
her mother, Mrs. Hcnery Ander
son. Mr. and Mrs. Ross McMillan,
of Ivory Pine, have bought the
Carton Ross home here. They
plnn to move August 12.
Berylo Kcster. who has spent
the pust two months at Modesta,
Calif., returned home this week.

Judy, of Klamath Falls, arc vis
iting this week at the home of
her sister, Mrs. Dorris Gordon.
