' A regular meeting of the aux
iliary to the Brotherhood of
Railroad Trainmen was held in
the KC hall Thursday, July 12,

Redmon, in charge. Plans were
made for a potluck picnic to
be held in Moore . park Thurs
day, July 26, lor members of
the auxiliary, the Stingerette
social club, their husbands,
children and prospective mem
bers. Mrs. V. C. Phillips is
picnic chairman for the auxil
iary and Mrs. Fred Genereux
for the Stingerettes. The com
mittees are to furnish cold
drinks and ice cream.

"Butch" Tiner Jr., who was one
year old this week, celebrated
when a number of friends and
relatives called to offer congrat
ulations. The little boy is the
son of SSgt. Leland Tiner,
U. S. army, now in Germany,
and Mrs. Tiner, who is making
her home here for the duration.
He is the grandson of Mr. and
Mrs. Hubert Bond, Tulelake.

Circles Meet
Circle meetings of the Wo
man's Society of Christian serv
ice of tne First Methodist church
were held on Thursday. July 12.
Circles one and three united for
a picnic at the home of Mrs.
Earl Redman of 111 Front. Fol
lowing luncheon the two circles
held their business meetings
separately. Mrs. Paul Edwards
cave a devotional talk to the en
tire group. The general society
and the church are planning a
picnic in Moore parK inursoay,
July 26, honoring the return of
Rev. and Mrs. Victor Phillips to
the church for another year, and
also honoring the new members
of the church and society.
Circle two met at the home
of Mrs. J. K. Reno of 4640 Peck
drive for a general picnic. Twen
ty members and two guests, Mrs.
O. R. Holloway and Mrs. Kram
er, attended. Mrs. George Cas
per conducted the devotional
services. Circle three plans to
unite with circle one for a pot-

MALIN Summer visitors
to Malin recently were Mr. and
Mrs. Walter Tucker of Los An
geles who visited at the home
of their daughter and son-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. E. Roberts,
and at the homes of their grand
daughters, Mrs. John Freitag
and Mrs. Vaclav Kallna. They
have returned home, accompan-
panied by their great grandson

Neighbors of Woodcraft met
in the KC hall Monday eve
ning, July 16, with Alta Clark,
guardian neighbor, presiding
over the business meeting. An
hour of Bingo followed, and re
freshments were then served by

son. At the meeting on August
6, Vera Reeves and Amelia
Jacobson will entertain.
Barbara Osborn, daughter of
Dr. and Mrs. Dean Osborn, left
this last week for Twisp, Wash.,
where she will visit with friends.

Mr. Goddard who observed his
82nd birthday on that day.

McNaught are parents of a baby
boy born last Friday, July 13.
Mrs. McNaught is the former
Karlene Schubert, the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schubert.
Cpl. McNaught is now stationed
at Camp Pendleton, Oceanslde,
Calif., and was here last week
end to see his wife and son,
whom they have named Johnnie

Eagles Auxiliary
The Eagles auxiliary held Its
last two regular meetings in the
lower FOE hall on July 10 and
July 17.
On July 10. a potluck supper
was served at 6 p. m. for auxil
iary and Aerie members. Pin
ochle was played after the meet
ing and refreshments served bv
the Aerie. After the July 17
meeting refreshments were
served by the auxiliary.
On Tuesday, July 24, at 8 p.
m. there will be another regular
meeting; In the lower FOE hall
with initiation of candidates.
Officers and drill team are asked
to wear formals. Plans are also
being made for the picnic to be
held at Moore park on Au
gust 12.

and Malln unit were installed at Memorial hull on Tuesday, July
17, with the Malin unit conducting the ceremony. About 75
people attended the potlucle dinner nerved by tho Kliumith unit
which began the evening's events.
