Ernest Walker' was badly cut
and bruised last Sunday when a
horse ran away and. drug 'him
through a wire fence. He "is
home from the hospital, but will
be on crutches for a long time.

Funeral rites were held for
Mrs. Helena Baker, . 62, at the
Ousley. Funeral chapel last Sat
urday afternoon with Rev. Al

was made in the Odd Fellows'
cemetery beside her husband,
Sgt. John Brown Baker, who
died March 23, 1930.
Deceased was born in Ger
many. August 16, 1882. She
leaves ' two sisters, .Mrs. E. E.
Lindeman of Cost. Texas and
Mrs. A. C. Nagel of Gonzales
and one brotfter, w. K. neiaoerg
of Houston, Texas. She had
been a resident of New Pine
Creek for nearly 30 years,
The two-months old baby girl
of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. bUnson
was buried last Sunday. The

day morning. interment was
made at the local cemetery.
