spoctaculnr three-day show of
1044. officials said today.
Purses amounting to $4870
will be offered for events, in
cluding bronc riding, calf rop
ing, steer team roping, bull
dogging, Brahma bull riding,
bareback riding, quarter -mile
cow horse race, relay race, five
eighths mile free-for-all, best
reined cow horse and musical
chair.
The queen's riding contost,
still open to candidates, will be
held June 24, Sunday, at the
fairgrounds with an appropriate
Rrogram to which all aro cord
illy Invited.
Many social events are being
planned for the chosen queen
and her attendants. Pictures of
contestants for the queen's
crown will be published In the
near future.
Lynn Roycroft will again
emcee throughout the entire
four dnys of the show.

baked 9-inch pastry shell with 3 cups
whole berries. Crush remaining 1
cup berries: cook with water 5 min
utes; strain. To make glaze: Com
bine sugar, cornstarch, and salt; add
to strained juice: and cook 3 min
utes, or until thick and clear, stirring'
constantly. Add butter or margarine
and red coloring. Cool slightly. Pour
glaze by spoonfuls over fruit, being
careful to coat all thoroughly. Chill.
Serve plain or garnish with whipped
table cream or ice cream and whole
berries. Makes 1 9-inch pie. Serv6
