Knights Of Pythias
Schedule Party
Tho Knights of Pythias will
be hosts at a party on Thursday
evening, May 31. at 8 o'clock
in the KC hall. This is a new
schedule for the organization,
and is to continue throughout
tho summer, with the last
Thursday of each month de
voted to social activities. All
members are urged to attend
and bring their wives, and the
Pythian Sisters will also be In
cluded at these functions.
A special membership drive
is being sponsored by the club
at the present time, and expect
to carry on during the summer
months. Anyone interested Is
asked to contact one of the
members, who in turn, will ex-
filain the procedure at the

policemen have white helmets
bearing Illuminated signs. The
word "police" appears on the
front of the helmet, and "stop"

during the month of May, it
was announced by Marvin D.

Francisco hospital shows why

"Dear Friends: I received
one of your very nice sleeveless
sweaters upon entering the hos
pital. I was eight days in the
hold of a cargo ship with more
man 4UU otner sick men. We
had no heat and I wore all the
clothes I. could get hold of. which
was two suits of summer under,
wear and two suits of dungarees.
I was cold all the time. When I
arrived at the hospital they gave
me a sweater and that sure
helped to thaw me out. I wear
it every day and appreciate it
very much. I want to thank
