Brother Of Klamath
Doctor Killed
: Harry A. .Stearns, Ashland, a
brother of Dr. Ralph W. Stearns
of Klamath Falls was killed In
an automoblle-hm rnllUInn in
Palo Alto Saturday night. Wil-
nam d. Burcley oi Falo Alto,
Steam's son-in-law and a mem
ber of the Stanford university
faculty; was seriously Injured
and Mrs. Barclay and their 14-months-old
baby suffered minor
injuries In the collision.
Mrs. Harry Stearns had died
Just a month before the fatal ac
cident.. ..Stearns was in Palo
Alto for a visit with his daugh
ter and son-in-law. The bus
driver was held by the police for
investigation.
The funeral will be held
Thursday of this week in Ash
land. Percy Steams, of Inde
pendence, Ore., a brother of the
victim, and Mrs. Stearns will ar
rive in Klamath Falls this eve
ning and will be accompanied to

Stearns.
Stearns is survived by two
sans, both with army units in the
Philippines, and two married
daughters, one, Mrs. Barcley, liv
ing !n Palo Alto and the other in
San Francisco.
