mer and Henry Rosen, who
were accused of conspiracy to
defraud the public in bribing
five players to "throw" a game.
Judge Louis Goldstein last
night sentenced Stemmer to one
year In the penitentiary and a
$500 fine. Clemency for Rosen
was recommended by the Kings

hit safely. Bill Lee was the win
