(CP) Toll of the blast which
wrecked a 10,000-ton freighter
in Vancouver harbor . was esti
mated today at eight men missing
and believed dead, 18 injured
and property damage of approxi
mately $1,300,000.
The Empire Stevedoring com
pany reported this morning that
six longshoremen are missing
and believed dead and tha
Canada Shipping company, Ltd.,
said two crewmen are "unac
counted for," and emphasized
that it is not known if they were
aboard.
The six longshoremen missing
after four blasts riDDed the S. S.
Greenhlll Park at noon yester
day were LJon. Ci. Bell, W. T.
Lewis, Montague Munn, Michael
McGrath, Walter Peterson and
J. Brooks.
