Wheat Ceiling Price
Increase In Effect
WASHINGTON, Dec. 13 (IP)
A four cent per bushel increase
in the ceiling price of wheat
went into effect today, the office
of price administration an
nounced. The increase, which affects all
levels of distribution, was neces
sary, the agency said, to fulfill
tho requirements of the stabiliza
tion extension act of 1044.
Flour ceilings, however, re
mained unchanged because of a
flour production subsidy pay
ment of 19 cents a bushel. The
payment remains unchanged un
til December 31, and a new pro
gram will be announced later.
