tary police unci shore pntrol.
Councilman Cantrall said Unit as
these groups benefitted most
from the work of the officers,
they should nut object helping to
maintain the room, which now
costs the city approximately
$11)00 per year for rent, hcut,
etc.
Mayor Houston recommended
Hint the council meet with mem
bers of the county court some
lime previous lo the next coun
cil meeting to discuss the mat
ter, nnd suggested Unit members
of the groups affected might sit
in on the session.
Cordon Loom is, mnnuger of

he fell the city would be better
able to cope willi certain healing
problems lhan the Klamath
Heating company, urged that
Klnmalh Fulls survey the situa
tion and find if there were any
possibility of the city taking
over.
Main problems of the present
owners, ho nsserted, were black
snow, lack of fuel, and the fact
that insulation on underground
pipes was rotting away, leaving
pipes laying on bare ground and
consequently losing heat.
Mayor John Houston declared
that as long as he is mayor,
ho would fight the city's ac
quisition of the heating plant.
He cited no reasons for his atti
tude, saying that they were too
voluminous to mention.
Passed unanimously by the
