The War Production Board early this
year mndo certain that thoro would bo
cnotigli anti-frcese to meet tho real
nccda of every car, bus, and truck
owner. This was dono for a double
barrelled reason:
First, automobiles that carry millions
of war workers to thoir jobs must bo
kopt running.
Secondly, Americans can't afford to
liavo a Binglo vehicle, damaged by a
freeze-up. Automobiles cannot be re
placed , and such parts bb radiators, cyl
inder heads and engine blocks are ex
tremely hard lo got.
While you may not always bo able
to got tho type or brand of anti-freezo
you prefer, your dcalor will have enough
anti-freezo of ono kind or anothor to
givo you full winter protection. But
remember, anti-freezo in your dealer's
stockroom won't protoct your car. Got
it into your radiator boforo thero's aiiy
danger of a frcozo.
How to make anti-freezo last longer
Have your cooling system checked over
before putting in anti-freeze. Leaking or
clogged radiators, faulty hoso connec
tions or other cooling system defects
waste anti-freeze. Since anti-freeze is
made from war-critical materials, you
won't want to waste it and, of course,
you should buy only as much as you
need. Your motor service man can tell
you exactly how much you need for
full protection, jjj
j And remember, a Du Pont anti
freeze protects your engine not only
from freezing, b" ft rtnt. and mr.
rosion as well.
