ing Mr. and Mrs. Folk Haddock

to her home in Exeter, Mo. She

liamson, for the past two
months. TKC Merle Cole is now
servins overseas. Mrs. Cole will
leave Sunday for her return
trip.
Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Horough
from Tionesta were visitors in
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Char
les Borough on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jonas are
visiting Mr. and Mrs. Carl Arant
this week.
Mrs. Mary Chiloquin has
moved to the Floyd Williamson
property to be nearer school.
Joan Tuning, daughter of Rev.
and Mrs. E. J. Tuning, is recov
ering nicely from a tonsilec
tomy. Thelma Rose is a substitute
teacher for the high school this
week in the absence of John
Hamilton. Rev. and Mrs. Ham
ilton are attending a conference
of the Tabernacle church held
in Eugene.
Mrs. Robert Hogan and infant
son returned home Wednesday.
Mrs. Mary McComb, the coun
ty librarian, visited the school
Wednesday, bringing a new sup
ply of books. New books were
brought to the branch library
in the Service League building.
Mrs. Ella Grob has returned
from a visit to Sacramento with
her daughter, Mrs. W. Bradley
and Mr. Bradley and their
daughter Sherryl.
Mrs. Carl Arant is suffering
from a foot injury and is un
able to work this week. She is
an employe of the American
Box company.
Poe Valley
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Nork and
John attended the auction sale
at the Burnett ranch Sunday. A
very large crowd attended, and
the sale was reported a success.
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Doak were
callers here from Klamath Falls
on Friday, November 17.
Several relatives of Buck
Rodgers and his mother visited
them Sunday.
Minda Waldrip and son of
Tulelake were visitors at the
home of her sister and brother-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Rex High.

Pauline Roberts was a caller
at the C. Robert's home on Sun
day. Sympathy is extended by the
community to Mr. and Mrs. Rex
High and son, Taylor, Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Sullivan, and Bert
and Allan Voghl on the loss of
their brother-in-law and nephew,
the late Charles Waldrip.
Mr. and Mrs. Pclmar Kelly
arc staying at the Emll Wells
home for a short time.

The funeral of the late Mrs.
Tallman was held here Thurs
day afternoon, November 16.
Many attended the service, and
several beautiful floral offer
ings were sent.
Mr. and Mrs. Larson Ross
were shoppers in Klamath Falls
from here Wednesday. They also
attended the funeral services at
the Earl Whitlock funeral home
for the late Mrs. Tallman.

at Bonanza. He is planning to
join the navy in the near future.

the last week. ,
Pearl Ortis has just returned
from Ivory Pine where she had
been visiting her sister for the
last few weeks.
Lee Herrington has been visit
ing tho home of M. J. Ortis.
Mr. and Mrs. George Ruff
have returned from Portland
where they have been attending
to business.
Mrs. Andrew Ortis from Spra
gue River was a visitor hero
recently.
Florence Jones was a visitor
in Klamath Falls last week.
Mrs. Emma Lou Wright and
Pearl Ortis were visitors in Ely
last week. '
Soldiers from Tulelake play
ed for the dance held at the
Chiloquin gymnasium Novem
ber 10. The dance was sponsor
ed by the. junior class of the
high school.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Giengcr
have recently returned from a
hunting trip. They were elk
hunting in eastern Oregon for
the past three weokr.
Wayne and Harold Hatchcn,
who arc both in the navy, are
home on a furlough visiting
friends and relatives.
Seaman Herb Hall is home
on a furlough visiting his, par
ent! In Klamuth Falls and old
schoolmates in Chiloquin. lie is
stationed in Furragtit, Idaho.

stationed at Stillwater, Okla
homa, where she will take ad
vanced training.
