One cup honey
Two cups of sugar
1 1 cups of cream
I cup bulter
Vanilla, nuts.
Boil the honey, sugar, cream
and butter until the car.dy

greased pans and allow to cool.

knew at the moment, and now,
having found a better way, wc
wish to submit this method:
Mend rips in the glove or gar
ment. Dissolve two tablespoons
of finely shaved paraffin in one
quart of cleaning solvent. Put
the article to be cleaned in a con
tainer of suitable size. . . a glass
jar or slonc crock is Ideal, and
pour In the solvent. Allow to
soak for 30 minutes. Remove
from the cleaning agent and
placo on a working surface that
will not be damaged by the li
quid and gently scrub seams and
soiled parts with a small brush
(tooth brushes are good) using
the paraffin -solvent solution.

Near Heart
TACOMA, Oct. 7 (P) Douglas
Tinsley, a negro soldier, was
in Fort Lewis hospital today In
a critical condition from a stab
wound near the heart received
sometime during the night.
Tinsley was found on a Ta
coma street by fellow soldiers
who had him taken to hospital.
Police questioned negroes In
a house near where the man
was found and held one, a
woman, in Jail today pending
further investigation.
