will be featured in two tap num
bers on the civilian half of the
program, which is being ar
ranged by Bernie Heidemann,
Commando captain.
A trio composed of Dot Laur
enson, Dot Gilchrist and Betty
Lee Smith will sing, and Miss
Laurenson, who has given many
performances at the Commando
center and elsewhere in this vi
cinity, will play a marimba solo.

ned for the affair is a contest
for jitterbugs and one for waltz
ing. Suitable prizes have been
chosen for the winners, who wili
be named by popular approval.
The post orchestra, led by
TSgt, Julius . J. : Zamzow. with
Sgt.. Lawrence "Cookie" Blan-
chard as vocalist, will play for
the dance.. ;
Spotlights and a public ad
dress system, acquired through
the courtesy of local theatres,
have been installed in the gym
nasium, and the acoustics are
said to be excellent

tion. 17 per cent are Teamsters;
