nual picnic of Iho Klamath Falls
Elks lodge, set for Moore park
for next Sunday, August 20. it
was announced today by Exulted
Kuler J. P. Linman.
Tho picnic is for Elks and
their families und 150 service
men who have been given writ
ten invitations. Everything will
be furnished by the lodge ex
cept coffee cups, knives, forks
mid spoons, and Elks should
bring Iheso for all members of
their iumilles and their service
men guests,
The invited service men will
be at the Commando center at
10:30 a. m. Sunday. Elks who in
dicated 011 their curds they will
tuke a service man to the picnic
should call at tho center
tween 10:30 and 11:30.
Each service man eligible to
attend will have a written invita
tion und Elks wcro urged by Lin
man not to bring extra service
men or more people than shown
on their cards to tho lodge.
Food supply and refreshments
were based on the figures given
on the cards and extra people
will cause shortages and embar
rassment, he explained. Visiting
Elks are welcome, he said.
Stolen Truck Found
On Road to Barracks
A Coca-Cola truck stolen
from the Coca-Cola Bottling
company was recovered by state
police Monday night when it was
found abandoned on the road to
the Marine Barracks by police
officers.
The truck was found in a ditch
at the sido of the road but had ;
not been appreciably damaged. J
