It also would set up a federal
revolving loan fund from which

tain solvency of their own
funds.
George said the "states'
rights" bill would bo reported
to the senate tomorrow but that

gin until next Tuesday. '

Pacific northwest lumber Indus

gressman Ellsworth of Oregon's
fourth district, ho stated today.
Ellsworth said he had for
warded information concerning
the plight of logging operators
lo ' Washington and had been
advised that recommendations
had been submitted to the army
urging a revision of its demands
In order that tires may be made
available to keep logging trucks
In operation,
Ellsworth also said he also
had been informed that heads
of several federal agencies have
visited Akron, O., to expedite
production of large sized truck
tires. Mo was advised also that
plans a r o being completed
whereby men 30 years of age
or older, who havo had experi
ence in tire construction, and
who arc now In military service
within the United States, will
be released by tho army to help
in tiro manufacture.
Tho army Is further being
urged, Ellsworth added, to make
special provisions for tho lum
ber Industry In connection with
future truck tiro needs.
