Income Tax
Information
This advertisement Is ad
dressed to those whose tax is
not being withheld from their
salaries or wages:
All other persons should be
sura to file their declaration of
anticipated Income for this year
1844. Tna first sucn aeciarauon
was due April 15, this year, and
most all the people have filed
such- declaration. However,
some have not, who should have
dona so. If any who read this
have not. they should now gat
busy and attend to the matter
at once. Then there are some
who wera not engaged In busi
ness until after April, or even
later. They were not liable, but
if they have had an Income
since then on which they can
base a declaration, these should
be sure and make such declara
tion on or before Sept. 15, 1944.
and pay their share of tax due
on such income at that time.
This would place them in good
standing as a "pay-as-you-go"
taxpayer. Not only those en
gaged in business in this class,
but also farm labor, casual la
bor, domestic help, and all those
having incomes, from which the
tax is not being withheld,
should file such declarations.
This is not a difficult thing
to do, but will save you time
and expense, if it is done.
The Simplified Tax Law does
make beneficial changes for all
taxpayers, but there is nothing
in the new law that relieves
him from the requirement of
seeing that his Income Taxes
are fully paid up, on or before
December 15th, 1944. as nearly
as it is possible to estimate the
same.
Yours respectfully,
WM. F. B. CHASE.
