the line" without regard for ac
tual out of pocket production
casts, Tompkins charged.
"The war food administration
has also been guilty of bringing
financial injury upon producers
by tongue in check promises to
maintain support prices at cer
tain levels. The promises were
accepted In good faith by the
farmers, only to lind to their sor
row that this agency of the fed
cral government docs not live up
to its solemn obligations in many
