MERRILL Merrill Camp Fire
Girls arc looking forward to an
interesting program during tho
summer. They got their work
project under way during the
annual Poppy Day sale sponsored
by the auxiliary of the Merrill
Legion post, when the girls
helped sell 1000 popples. Total
amount of this year's sale was
$104. Mrs. K. C. Burkes was
auxiliary chairman for the sale
and the girls worked under their
leader, Mrs. George Elliott,
Joanne Kandra will take Mrs.
Elliott's place while she is at
tending summer school In Wash
ington. Six of the members,
Peggy Farrell, Joan and Eileen
Noonan, Pat O'Connor, Dolores
Steele and Gcraldino McKcndree
will . attend summer camp at
Lake o' the Woods in August and
there Will be an overnight camp
in someone's back yard. The
group is sponsoring a cooked
food sale in Jones' store, June
17, and many of the girls will
