This is for YOU . . . brave answer to the question in your
heart, What can I do to help?. It is the uniform of the Volunteer
Nurse's Aides. . , ,'
I am a Navy nurse. Short months ago,1 1 served in a civilian
hospital. When the armed forces called for trained nurses, I could
respond because women like you came forward to carry on my
work. They became Nurse's Aides, assisting other graduate nurses
. remaining in civilian service. i ,
Now I am going overseas, where your brother, or husband or
son has gone. If he is injured, I will be there to nurse him back
to health. . ' ' . - ' "
But we need many more graduate nurses to assure every man
his chance to come home alive and well. Will YOU release a
nurse fof war? Call your local Red Cross, or Civilian Defense,
and volunteer as a Nurse's Aide.
. Nursing is but one essential citizen service. Dozens of others
, enable every good American to back up our fighting forces. Read
the partial list here. Are you doing all you can for Victory?
.Because keeping your car in good condition is vital to Victory, your
