Women Serve in
April at Red Cross
' Women are UU needed to give at least three to lx hours
a week at surgical dressings workrooms In the Red Cross build
ing on Main between Fourth and Fifth streets. Experience is
not necessary and a helping hand will assist in putting over the
quota which must be met daily by the local project.

Cascade Crest chapter. Order
of the Eastern Star, held its
visitor's night at the regular
meeting Wednesday. May 17.

the Commandos and to have
them ready for delivery to the
girls Wednesday, May 31.

Sojourners of Klamath Falls
will entertain this evening, Sat
urday with the annual spring
dinner party in the Willard ho
tel. Cocktail hour is from 6:30
to 7:30 o'clock with dinner fol
lowing. At 8:30 o'clock the com
mittee will present a program.
All members of Sojourners are

have also been issued to service

To Arrowhead
Ensign Michael L. Carey, who
has served as assistant to the
medical officer at the Klamath
naval air station,' left this week
for Arrowhead Recuperation
center, Arrowhead Springs,
California, to which place he has
been transferred. Mrs. Carey
and young son will leave May
27 at the close of school.
Lt. and Mrs. J. Miller Babcock
and daughter Barbara, will move
into the Carey residence at 2051
Erie street this coming week.
The Careys took an active part
in the social life of the navy
personnel during their residence
here.

third clsaa, and Wyekloff R. Rigsby, Ship's Cook, second claaa, at the
U. S. Naval Training Station at San Diego, Calif. They were married
after a romance that began whan Peggy discovered Rlgeby was reaponsibl
for the excellent cuisine in the WAVES' mesa hall. If Rig.by is elected
to supervise the culinary department at home, he'll hav to learn how to
pare down recipea for 1,000 servings to the correct proportion, for two.
This romance is very complimentary to the food served WAVES, but at
Navy Recruiting Stations and Offices of Naval Officer Procurement
they'll tell you the excellent cuiaine ia only a minor reason for enlisting
m the WAVES, The important thing, they aay, ia that women between
20 and 36, without children under 18, can serve their country during this
war in no better way than in the ranks of the WAVES.
