state game commission today pre
dicted the weekend's best fishing
would be in the coastal streams,
especially those of Lane,-Josephine
and - Lincoln Counties,
where good catches of salmon,
cutthroat trout and bass were re
ported. -
By counties:
Lane Angling poor in most
of the streams in eastern part of
the county, but some small
catches reported . in Willamette
and McKcnzie rivers. Salmon
fishing good in Siuslaw. Both
Chinook and Silvers being
caught in vicinity of Florence
and Cushman. Trout fishing fair
in Siltcoos lake on troll. Bass
fishing fair in Sutton, Mercer
and Cleowox lakes.
Curry Angling fair with few
catches being reported. Chinook
and Silverside catches slowly
improving in Rogue and Cbetco
rivers.
Josephine Angling good the
past week. Trout angling in
Rogue exceptionally good with
