Noting that tho prospective
supply of corn is small relative
to livestock numbers, the depart
ment said In a current official
report that "wheat probably will
continue to be used instead of
corn" in the production of alco
hol. It added, however, that the
exact quantity of wheat required
"in alcohol production for the
manufacture of synthetic rubber
and smokeless powder will do
pond largely upon the possibility
of Increasing the uso of molasses
for this purpose."
